New to Lake Erie and Walleyes
I will be making a trip to Monroe Michigan in a couple weeks and am bringing my new boat, 19 foot Ranger aluminum / 115 Optimax. I am fairly new to walleye fishing and am looking for any help and advice to steer me in the right direction. I am set up with good electronics, downriggers, planer boards, jet divers and line counter reels that I have used to fish for lake trout and stripers in PA. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check the "Far West Report" thread in this forum if you are fishing Michigan waters

Not sure where I am going to fish, Ohio or Michigan. Being the first time on Lake Erie I am open to either. I would like to go out no farther than 5 to 7 miles where I can get in quick if the weather changes. The boat trailers very well so if I needed to drive to Ohio to launch for better success I would be fine with that.
