Maumee River Damage
Went down to the river yesterday and looked at all the damage. It's hard to believe that entire roadways have been washed away due to the ice. Buttonwood is destroyed. Road way is missing and there was a hole about 10 feet deep at the location where the road to the campground was located. River road was closed and ice was approx., 6 feet high on both sides. There were ice chunks still on shore at Orleans. I am sure that there will still be fishing down there this year but there won't be the amount of space to fish around like in years past. I watched a handful of fishermen for about an hour but no fish were caught. God Luck to all.

I found a website that has EXCELLENT aerial video of the Maumee River ice. It has the same videos on YouTube (search 'Maumee River ice').

There are several videos on this site taken in the last two weeks, and more taken earlier in the winter, also of Lake Erie Maumee Bay ice. You can clearly see the extent of the flood and the ice piles. I don't recommend anything unless it is the real deal. You will be impressed.
