Was up Tuesday 03/10 with experienced locals, west of Green island / North of Camp Perry area, about 5 miles out. Ice was in good condition and locals said it would probably be good rest of week with the forecast at that time. I would guess after Friday will begin the "day-to-day" end of season time. Warm weather is what people think of but I'm told the wind direction and speed is the real ice fishing season ender. Once the ice begins to crack and separate it's no longer safe to go out because you may not get back in. The ice may still be plenty thick but the separating sheets make travel uncertain. Get a report from someone up there. Conditions change by the day, even by the hour.
