what a way to end a season
Well Capt. Mike just had to get one more day in yesterday, it was bitter cold, but the boys launch off huron and work the shoreline, only caught a few but size was from 6 to 13 lbs, halloween and chartuse smithwicks, also good bite going on west of reef cans. Cold water fishing
I saw a boat being launched at the Huron launch site on the west side of the river yesterday. I wondered if they were going for walleye. Good to hear there are some hearty souls still fishing

Trolling or casting
I was thinking about your post and wondering if they were trolling or casting and what kind of lures they were using.

trolling
Capt. Mike got invited to fish with a couple of tournment pro's
yesterday, they were trying out different lures and colors, yes they were trolling, and yes this has been going on for weeks,
both kellys to huron, and the reef area with huge success. lots of big fish but so far nothing much over 13 lbs. that we heard about.
