canada fishing
Does anyone know if you are fishing in Canada waters, do you need a passport? I have the license, but no passport. Someone told me you didn't as long as you didn't go on land.

If you’re only fishing and not going to land you do not need your passport to fish Canadian waters. I fish there 3 days out of the week!

Can you simply boat across the border? Or do you have to notify Canadian authorities that you crossing?

Fishing in / Going to Canadian Waters
You can find the needed info on the Internet at US and Canadian gov't websites, but it is not easy to wade through it all to find Lake Erie specific info.
This website Links Page has direct links to the gov't Lake Erie information, updated for 2014.
