Here is my largest average catch.. 28 fish that weighed 217 lbs. One of the fish weighed 15 lbs 10 oz. But I have never had a 300 lb cooler. I would like to see that picture.

I checked the OGF site to see if there were any similar reports of other fishermen catching large weighing coolers of fish. There are no reports that would substantiate the 300lb coolers of fish. That would be bragging rights if it happened and those central basin and eastern ohio lake Erie fishermen like to rub it in to us western basin guys in a good natured way when they catch those big fish be it a single fish or a high average wt, they would be chattering about the great fishing. Not a lot of reports coming in about large fish being caught off of Lorain or Cleveland areas. Most just say they got their fish or close to it and approximate location where caught.
Me thinks this is connected to the post where the gentlemen wanted a charter for large fish titled Need some advice. Then an argument/ discussion took place about where the best spot to leave from was located and the amount of fishing time spent on the water vs. travel time to and from the fishing grounds. But that is only my own personal opinion based on what has transpired on this site in the last few days. Any how if the report is true it is an awesome catch, if it is false then shame on the OP. It does not appear that any photos are forth coming. So I am moving on from this mystery.Wakina

easy on his total weights
if one gets into the hogs, a three days aggregate of 300 lbs of fish is doable, been there and done it, I don't advertise things like that because I don't want anyone pressuring the fish that I am on to and it just breeds envy and contempt in the same process.
I've had 4ft coolers topped up with 36 fish flopping out it at times 5-6 lber's ave. and believe me, there's 100lbs of meat in that cooler so its doable in deeper colder waters this year, west central lake Erie perhaps. Its just the timing of the year perhaps that is in question. I can do it late spring but mid-late summer?not a chance on the western basin.
