Trenton power plant
Lots of firsts in this post, first post, first time out on the lake in my own boat. I live in Michigan so I would like to stay in Mich. waters. I have been checking from shore different areas that I would be comfortable going out in my 17 1/2 foot Smokercraft. I have decided the Trenton power plant and mouth of the Detroit river looked like a good place to start from a safety standpoint. Now I just need to figure out if the fishing is any good there. I have found only a few old posts about the area but I am thinking I would like to try it this sat. Anyone willing to offer any suggestions? Try and target walleye or perch? What depth water should I target? I have some good electronics so that will help. I was thinking of trolling or perhaps jigging. What do you folks think.
Thanks
