when to start casting?
anyone know when a guy should start casting weapons, use bottom bouncers ect instead of jigging for the amazing walleye? I realize trolling is very productive but I have folks coming along that would rather jig/cast. thanks guys/gals for the help.

casting
usually for us we start casting harnesses a week or so after guys report that they are getting them trolling with harnesses. it might take a little bit of work to figure out the count down to find the suspended fish. if you can get a good drift to cover ground casting can be just as affective as trolling harnesses just have to make sure the drift isn't to fast right now the fish aren't to fast moving yet with the water temps still in the upper 40's, might be to much work to chase a "fast moving" worm.

worms
I try to use the mid 50 water temps for worms but some guys have taken fish on bouncers already in the deeper waters. I will start dragging bouncers on the 2nd and 3rd weekends of May and some jigging at same time. Have to see how much the water warms up. Use mid May as the start of worming while drifting.

I Know Of Many Limits On Bottom Bouncers Already. I have only heard of a couple fish caught on casting harnesses.
