Lock up your stuff boys
Be careful of leaving any gear not locked up when around Catawba area. Last Thursday 1-30-2014 , 5 of us fishing out of Catawba had a great day! 29 walley for 5 men. Got off the ice in to state park around 6pm after helping a few guys who were stuck in the slush close to ramp. When we arrived at our trailer and truck we discovered someone had helped themselves to out back up 8" auger. Ok , not the end of the world out $80 bucks. We left to eat in port Clinton and spent the night in a well known hotel. Parked in lot with lots of lights 50 ft. From our room. Woke up 6am. Friday morning and went to start my truck and discovered someone had stole our 2 man clam , with all gear inside. Followed tracks to where they loaded it behind the dumpster/white fence area. What a kick in the nuts!! , out $550. More! Totally deflated meand my buddy just drove home as we were not going to fish on a bucket in the wind. Lock up you stuff and watch it like a hawk! Be on the lookout for guys selling gear cheap too!! We will be back , but will always look at things different from now on.
