Rule of thumb. A walleye gets to 30" it's 10#. Add a pound per inch beyond, but add a fully belly of eggs and it can weight more. My buddy got a 31 1/2" that weighed 14 3/4 lb. belly girth was 21 1/2".

not a state record!!!
It was confirmed, the picture was in the sandusky register. The fish is 12lbs 32inches.. not a
state record. The right angle and picture can make a fish look huge

Very nice fish
State record or not that is truly a beautiful fish, well porportioned, no snag marks or growths. Bet that was fun trying to get it thru hole in the ice. good job and good photo.

Rant: I hate it when guys hold their fish like bass fisherman do.. arms fully extended out in front of their body to make fish look huge. I see pictures like that and automatically the picture loses credibility.
I give my bass buddies **** for the way they take deceiving pictures like that. Hold the fish closer to your body, let us get an accurate idea of its size. Let its size do the talking. I'm not saying that anyone involved with this fish was trying to be deceptive at all, but just by the perspective of the camera to fish to person, it was impossible to judge the size.
Still a very very nice fish obviously, but if it had been held differently then there wouldn't be all this gossip about it being a record. I heard Fin Feather Fur in Ashland has that picture with the caption "new state record"..
I have a picture of a friend of mine holding a 32" 11.5# that she caught, and even holding it by her side, it looks huge, because it is. Wish I'd had her hold it out with her arms fully extended just for a goofball picture now
