my buddy and i caught 2 walleye and a 12in perch last saturday before the snow in brest bay in 14ft right after sunset, the perch after the walleye. we went out again last night and had marks all night 4 to 5 ft off the bottom and got the skunk besides the quillback or highfin we caught which explained our marks which were not like walleye on the vexilar in 18ft of water. the ice is 8in as far as we went before the last time the main chunk blew off which we didnt explore due to low light and the fishing window we were given. we got there late around sunset a5. havent fished morning bite but will be out there all day tmrw. the ice is safe and hope the school goes through if you get unusual marks i suggest to move due to high density of junk fish. i know the fish are there with no pattern yet but will fish the bay tmrw and will go to turtle creek on sunday due to rain on saturday. take care of one another out there. be safe. and good luck hope to hear your success stories as it will be my last year ice fishing before i move away.
