I have a 29 1/2 ft Rinker 282 but yesterday you would have had no problem because the lake had 1 ft or less swells.Put in at Lakeshore Park and run out 1-1/2 miles and look for fish on your sonar. It took me three moves to find the fish but once I found them my partner and I instantly caught 2-12 inch perch that could have been brothers. You have to see it to believe it.The perch are so fat that even a 9 inch perch will give you a great fillet. But I go for the jumbos and the short boat ride. When I fish the western basin I routinely run 40 miles in serch of decent sized perch. At Bula you literally run 15 minutes offshore and thats it.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully the winds will cooperate in the next few weeks.
BTW I do have a 25 ft. center console but didn't really want to tow it that far.
