Jumbo perch
Was thinking about taking a trip to the east for some jumbo perch. Where should I put the boat in at. I have never been east of Sandusky with the boat. Any help on what ramps to use and any tips on a good spot to start look for the jumbos would be great thanks for the help

Take the trip to Comneaut if you care to.
I spent about $125 in gas for tow vehicle last weekend. I pulled my boat at West Harbor, ate breakfast, drive to Conneaut, launched, drove out 5 miles. Was barely anchored and my son had a jumbo double. We were heading back in after less than two hours. Then drive back to Marblehead and put boat back at marina.
I can spend that much in gas in a day just driving out looking in the western basin.
Long day but definitely worth the trip. If I trailered, I'd hit Conneaut more often in the fall.Rookie Perch fisher, veteran Perch eater.
