    Default what to fish with

i too have been perching far longer than I care to remember. however my expreience from the many guys i have fished with, it is a matter of personal touch. I finally ended up with a basspro 5 1/2' ul with a 6;1 ratio bait cast reel spooled with 8# braid, 3ft. mono leader, 2 #2eagle claw hooks, 1oz# sinker no bling, in the mud. Like I say, try until your comfortable with the setup and you will catch fish.

    Default Rigs

Seems like weight on the bottom is most popular. I will have to see what I can find so I can try something a little different. Last time I used a crappie rig I could only catch junk. Also seems like a lot of you prefer braid as well. Taking notes keep em coming I ought to put everything together and be a
    Perchin master lol.

I like the sensitivity of the St Croix rods for perch and bass fishing but I have never thought of using braid for perch.....that will be on my short list so I too can feel a perch fart. Lol
