Drifting Reports for 6/15 and 6/16
Fished Saturday evening, couple miles East of niagara and firing range. ended up with 4. 2 on "the weapon", 2 on weight forwards. surrounded by all the head boats, they didnt seem to be doing well either.
Sunday evening we fished W of Rattlesnake, got 1 on weight forward. got numbers from our charter boat captain who limited in 3 hours trolling. so we ran out to northwest reef area. only pulled 1 more. seemed like a lot of good marks but we were unable to figure them out. I have never seen messes of "stuff" on the fish finder like we were seeing. not sure if they were white perch schools, or baitfish, or mayfly hatches, or what. but just mounds and mounds of stuff, but then there also seemed to be isolated, good walleye marks, apart from the mounds.
but anyways, 2 great days on lake, but we usually do alright casting during mayfly season, wouldve liked to do better but oh well

Mayfly hatches
Those mayfly hatches look like a big bait ball, usually around the 15 ft mark, temp sensitive little guys, won't be long those perchies will be slowing down for a tad. mike
