Triples
When I get on active fish in good numbers I will set the hook on the first hit but don't bring the fish up leave him where he hit and on a tight line. When I feel the second hit same thing. When the third hit comes up comes the rig. I have caught a lot of triples this year using that method. I one case there were two large perch and a decent walleye on the rig.
Essential to this technique is a very sensitive rod. I use a 6 ft. Browning in the original all boron blank. It takes some will power to set and settle the hooks but once you start doing it you will find that the first fish will move the bait around enough that others will fight for the two remaining minnows. Sorry no pic's I don't take too many, I'm just and old guy that likes to fish. Hope this helps someone on their quest for a triple.
