I have actually taken it one step futher and made all of mine on hard wire about 3 to 4 inches long some with removable hook snells and others with replaceable hook snells (I am still expermenting with this part). I then use a 5 to 6 foot leader with ball bearing snap swivel on one end and ball bearing swivel on the other. They have been working great so far and when my old style are finally gone all of my new ones will be made this way! It eliminates the hassle of switching out the harness while on fish or worrying about the snell breaking from the wear of the clevis on the snell line, as well as storing those long harness snells, no more hooks tangling things up or getting stuck in other equipment or fingers. Patterened them after the old fashioned lures of the late 50's. I will get some pics up in the next week all my stuff is at my camper.
