Perfectly as long as it does not hit the prop. You may want to go to a little bit shorter ropes but at 6 foot in a 30 foot starcraft we have never had a problem outside of the back rope not being on the cleat (my fault totally). Playing with the bags is half the battle with trolling and those side bags are a whole lot easier to mess with then 2 60+ inch bags hanging off the back. Put a couple extra knots in that rope going to he back cleat and you can partially drop a bag by hooking it on rod holders. The possibilities are unlimited, I could not even count how many times I have played with bags on a typical day, it is part of the game, don't be afraid of them use them as a tool.
Good angling to you....

I just want to take a minute to say thanks. Guys this is my 1st mate Capt Sean. He is a vital part on our boat to catching fish.. yes I said our boat because I consider us partners more than just capt and first mate. So I just want to say thanks Sean for always giving your 300 percent.

I just had this problem sunday i just switched from a i/o to an inboard. Tied the bags like i normally did on my i/o trolled for 3 hours. Then my motor stalled and my shifter was stuck. You may have seen me getting towed in around 11:00. I was next to a can. Now im praying my shaft is not bent. I have to put some new packing in then ill see if shes bent.

Take the hit and mount a four stroke 15hp on your transom and eliminate the bags they suck. I can troll all day on 2-3 gallons of gas and get the boat under 1 mph on my 27ft Baha Cruiser. Its the best decision I have made with the boat yet. I have it set up with a double rack and pinion cable set up, 1 cable steers the rudders and the other 1 steers the kicker.

Fishkiller did you mount the motor yourself or did you have someone do it for you. I also have a 27' baha and was wondering how you mounted it. Any info would be great thank you.
