Went out with north coast charters. Left the dock at 7am headed 5 miles east to crane creek. We had 4 guys plus the captain. I myself caught 3 fish two of em on a 3/4 oz lead headed jig with a 3" black marble power grub, the one other was on a purple hair jig. My one other buddy caught 8 fish with a 3/4 oz white hair jig with a green buck tail on it. He was able to vertical jig along side of boat since we didnt have much of a drift. I caught all mine casting out lifting rod every 3-4 cranks to 12oclock. The captain caught his ticket with my dad catching 2 fish and my other pal getting 3 all on hair jigs purple, white or green ended the day at 1pm with 20 fish 60lbs. 95% of the fish were over 20". Didnt really kill em by any means but we slowed picked to a 5 man limit not to bad for my first trip out. Thanks to Gary at NCC will be back out very soon.
