Maumee Bay, reefs, or cans
Heading out this week and wondering if the jig bite is better around the cans, the reefs, or in Maumee bay. Seeing posts in all 3 locations, but looking for some friendly advice which spot to hit first.

If it was me I would head to the reefs. I don't know the bay. Jigging around the Cans can be tough if you have some heavy wave action. Hard to maintain contact with your jig in heavy waves and 28 feet of water. The reefs offer a lot options on top of the reefs , the edges or the beach water. Just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions.

Reefs
I like the reefs better too because I don't kno the bay either and right now it seems like you can fish almost any reef and pick up fish. And if you don't like the action you can move to the next one and try that one. We had good luck Saturday once we caught fish drift until you get off of where the fish were holding that start the slide back over and just keep working your way from the deep side of the reef to the shallow side... It might only be a difference of about 2.5 feet but it worked for us! Hope this helps and happy fishing.
