this will be my first time trolling with dipsey divers and wanted to no if you can run reef runners with them.

I don't believe so. Where are you fishing? Dipsey's not needed in the western basin

Are you talking the 800 series? You probably could but, you would have to have at least a 20 ft leader or you would defeat the hunt/search that RR do. Which is what makes them so good. You'd have to handline in the fish with that long of a leader.
Or do you mean running other baits on dipsy's and RR's on other rods. RR perform best from .8 mph to 2 mph. You can run them above that if tuned perfectly. The big dipsy's like speeds of at least 1.5 on up.

it would be for the 800 behind dipseys.but iam hearing it would be best not to thanks for all the imfo guys its really been helpful to me.

you can run the 700 series behind dipsey's the 800's don't work so well

If you want walleye in the western basin follow my threads. I used 800 series Reef Runners off Walleye side planers today. The lengths back, the speed and the location vary with the day. I will post after each trip after I clean my fish.
