Had the pleasure of fishing with empty hooks on my first trip of the season. After a late start we headed out the toussaint river to do the jig bite thing at about 1:00 pm.
This was the first time jigging for Empty hooks and 2nd time ever for myself. We managed a 2 man limit of really nice walleyes after some trial and error. We had our best luck in 17 to 18 ft of water NE of k-can with black and chartruse hair jigs doing all of the damage. Took about 3 hours but the weather was pleasent and I had some great company to chat with. On the down side I need to check my radio as I think it is recieving ok but not transmitting so well. Tight lines to all.Wakina
