    Default Columbus Boys 3-16 Report

    Columbus boys jig bite was on March 16th It was well worth the trip up for the day. This was our first trip to Lake Erie in our own boat without a captain. Looks like we will be doing this much more often!!!

    Started out of Fenwick around 8:00am and had a two man limit by noon. Took us a little while to find them from 8-10. Fish were definitely in the cleaner water east of Wild Wings only a mile or so out.

    Caught all males 20-27"- on pink headed jigs with purple skirts tipped with large shiners.

    Best results came from bouncing the jig off the bottom mixed with a fast paced retrieval.

    Great job guys. Was there also and we got 3 man limit in 5 hours.
