questions about slowing boat for trolling ?
1.8 is the slowest i can get it down too. I have to throw out two bags to get that speed . Will two five gallon buckets get me down to 1 .0 along with the bags?

Call with your boat info and he will hook you up with the right set up.

Also you DON'T want to be at idle trolling. Lowest oil pressure your engine has. You'll end up wearing out/burning your rod bearings and camshaft. 1200 rpm is a good number to try to stay at.

What size boat are you running? You might try one of these along with your bags. http://www.johnsonmarinesupply.com/trolling_plates.htm
