I'm so glad to hear some positive news about ol'Erie !!. I read infisherman, Walleye insider, I don't think that they would BS. the fact of the trawl survey, maybe they do things a little different than odnr. One other thing I was wondering is how old are the fingerling at the time of the survey? and how many years is it untill they are of legal size. It looks like it may be an early season for us this year, but Febuary can get nasty fast and put the brakes on fast. Still working on the boat getting her ready for the brown trout season, which will be here before we know it. Hope the jig season will be better for you guy's this year, little less wind would be nice. Till then have a great season guys. PAP

Pap: Well we will know when the season gets here if it is like the 2012 Walleye Guide claims, most of those 2011 year class fish will be in the 7 to 10 inch range and they are a swimming eating machine at that size, so if we don't catch them while trolling then they most likely were not there in the first place! Those 2011 fish will be entering the legal size in 2013 but more so in 2014. I sent an email to the editor of that Mag. but have had not gotten a reply back yet!
I know it is a long ride up here but if the bite is good in June you are welcome to come up and fish with me for a couple of days. Tight lines this summer.Last edited by wakina; 01-27-2012 at 03:11 PM.
