Safe to eat?
With this record algae bloom, at least where i fish (toledo light), they are saying the algae is 5 times the safe limit, and releasing a ton of liver toxins.... is it ok to eat the fish right now?

Walleye in Lake Erie have tested above World Health Organization standards for toxic chemicals from the algae. I have cut way back on consumption, especially after algae blooms start. Chemicals in blue-green algae have been linked to Parkinson's, Alzheimers and other neurological disorders. Check out this link to a story in the Columbus Dispatch:

They don't eat the algae, however the algae produces toxins that store in the flesh of the fish. What extent i have no idea, which is why i asked. This is from the above report.
Fish that have survived (the algae toxins) aren't recommended for unlimited eating because of the toxins their flesh holds. Some fish shouldn't be eaten at all.
