Here is what I use to catch yellow perch in western basin of Lake Erie!
It is a spreader with a 3/4 oz weight and perch hooks that have an 18" inch long leader with 20 pound test. And NO Bling! I have a buddy of mine who told me today that he caught 3 times more fish on this set up then the one he was using~ I give my friends the option to take one of my setups when they go fishin with me or they can use their own. Make sure you put a barrel swivel on the hook connection~!!
I hope this helps those who may be wondering the best setup, however, when your on the fish it may not matter, but when we were on the fish this setup did better than other options. When You fish this set up make sure you on the bottom and just crank it up so your spreader is bouncing on the bottom~FISH On~
