07/22 & 07/23 Cranberry Creek Area
My dad and I headed for Cranberry Creek Friday afternoon. Had to wait out storms, only got out for about an hour and a half Friday evening. Got 4 eyes. 17 to 20 inches. Tried to lift on in the boat because the net was tangled, of course that didnt work. Went back out Saturday morning, managed 2 eyes before storm blew us off. Went back out at 11am and managed 2 more eyes by 12:30. Picked up and started to head towards Lorain Sandbar, after 5 minutes we decided to ditch that idea and head back to where we were at. Fished turned on at 12:45 to 2pm and we finished our limit of 12 eyes at 3pm. Most fish were 17 to 22 inches, one 26incher. Best program was cranberry crusher reef runners on our outside boards at 60 back and willow blade harnesses on our inside boards 30 to 35 back on an old jet 40. 18 to 22 ft. Our best speed was 1.8MPH.
