Smile perch bite and walleye report

started at wards nothing but sheepheads, moved to gravel pits ,
nothing, move to No.11 bouy 30 nice ones, but slow pickings, moved to mcdonalds pick another 50 till noon, then alge bloom exploed, and fish shut off completely, only rig working was single hook 16 inch lead, two split shots with slack line on bottom. total 82 perch 8 to 12 inches, other reports at marnia best perch 150 in 26 ft. water at gravel pit, away from alge,
best walleye report 25 walleyes by a casting charter, past red and white, 9 by troller same area, very few boats on water, thats why low reports. Capt. Mike and Wayne Reel Sport Charters

    Talking perch

seems like the only thing that has been working for me is the single hook thing with split shot..no bling..have been even just taken the head off and throwing it in the water, something like chuming..but they have been right on the bottom. i even have a thin rope with a hunk of rebar on it banging on the bottom..perch seem to come and look it to see what is going on..then they find the minnow or the heads that are there

Fished in front of metzgers first thing yesterday, pulled 25 decent fish, lots of sheephead...Capt. Mike I think you pulled up for about 5 minutes then left...I was the white sportcraft. Heard report about reel sport doing good out by buoy's so we headed out. Capt Mike-which one is the Mcdonalds buoy? Is it the big red and white one that makes the noise? Any way we ended up stopping by the last 2 green and red buoys in 26 fow. Steady to fast pull for 2 plus hours. We ended with 92 perch and 24 lbs. Majority of fish were 8.5 to 9 inches with a few bigger ones. I think we only threw back 5 or 6 little ones. Most fish caught on Perch colored spreader with very light bell sinker, or crappie rigs. Thanks again Capt Mike...

    Smile mcdonalds

mcdonalds is the green and white tall bouy 41 47 83 15, we were about 300 ft. east of it, also can no. 11 green one had good perch, just not steady enough, everyone on board has to
have light rods, and keep everything light to get the bite to work, the alge were we were at just shut things down, the people that found cleaner water did a little better.
