planer boards
thanks for the suggestions on my last question. i would also like to know a way to rig the boards so its easier to tell when you have a fish on. i know you can get the tattle flag kits but i really dont wanna part with another hundred dollars right now. sometimes its really hard to tell. there were multiple times on my first trip up that we had 18 to 20 inch walleye on but the boards really werent bobbing much...anybody else have this problem?

when i used inline boards i had the same problem. if u have the offshore boards they come with a red flag already just go and look at the tattle flag kit part list at their web sit and go to lowes and buy the hardware and spring their is a good tutorial web site out their somewhere that showes you how to do this. it only costs about 8 dollars a board.

After you set the board out back the clicker off on your reel so it is barely clicking from the pull of the board then tighten just a tick. When a fish hits it will start clicking. Works pretty well.
