Sunday 9-17-2017 very nice day on the lake
8:30 to 1:00 pm, ran out of bait~ sneaky perch.
did manage 26 yellow perch, one sheep head, large catfish and a yearling walleye (returned unharmed)
SE of G can, many boats north of me.
gut pile shows those spiney fleas and some gobies
some of those sneaky perch had 4 of my goldens in their gut.
see the white stuff in the sw side of the gut file photo, that looks like gum, that is a growth I cut off the sheep head and some perch ate it!
~come get some perch

July 19th, Thursday
60 yellow perch south of G can using spreaders and golden shiners (never any bling)
21 pounds at the cleaners, nice fish and 4 hours, we did have 6 throw backs (unharmed)
On the way in we spotted 3 head boats near shore in 15 fow just 2 miles NW of the Portage river, set up a drift with erie deeries (with crawlers) and caught 4 walleye, 6 sheep head and 1 catfish.
Very nice day on the lake.

Went out of the Portage River tonight for the evening bite. Brought back 3 keepers with drifting bottom bouncers. Fished around g can and Clinton reef with many shorts and a gonzillion of sheepshead. Could only keep one rod in the water.

I think those are what they call spiny water fleas. iv been seeing them also and have been trying to figure out what they are. But I could be wrong. Possibly why we have had a slow bite.
