fished east of Niagara Reef today. got a late start. many boats in the area and most were trolling, but we did see some drifters.
the trollers were doing good, at least the ones that went by our boat.
we saw 3 walleye caught by the trollers that troller near our anchored boat.
we got 25 nice perch, with few throw backs and one really nice white bass. we caught some nice white perch too.

My last post for walleye says it all. ~ "no walleye for you" (ok maybe 2)
Ok .... now I know that in the past I have switched over to perchen soon after the walleye spawn..... because I could not get it "going on" with the walleye drift. However.. since I have been doing the "trolling thing" I have caught more walleye then ever before. ( I was an avid lets drift and cast kind of fisher dude) ........somehow over the winter months my boat "Water Dog" gave berth to... yes ... a 9.9 kicker motor~! Well.... my wife doubts that but I know that all of you that read this post will agree.. with my version.
Somehow... redoing the bathroom just did not measure up with the kicker motor....~Fish On~:D
H can today with my Lucky Charm.
10 Nice yellow perch. NO THROWBACKS~! 8-10"
Lots of white perch and some white bass.
One smallmouth and one largemouth bass, which were returned to the lake unharmed.

good job water dog. going to try E of Kellys
I'm new to Erie Perch & Walleye fishing , but have more years than I care to think of fishing for Catfish, Crappie and others. Question,, What is Bling and no Bling ???
No bling would be just a plain hook, Bling would have some form of added attractants, beads, blades, ect.
OK,thanks Spoonfeeder..,, that is kind of what I thought it might mean,,,
Had my "Lucky Charm" with me today. We fished just east of H can and had some fun with the white perch.. a lot of white perch and some white bass. We did manage to get 12 nice yellow perch and 4 sheep head.
My "Lucky Charm" likes to catch any type of fish so she was happy.
Non stop action.:D

Get plenty of minnows when you go.
At least 4 dozen per person.<----I had this many and still ran out
6# pounds of those tasty yellow perch, at the cleaners and about 8 throw backs.
I only throw back the ones I expect to live and keep those that I don't.
I did catch 4 sheep head, 2 gobies, and 5 white bass.
~Nice Day~ a little sticky but the breeze helped.
Went to my "ole honey hole" just east of the green buoy in 30 fow @ Niagara Reef.
30 Yellow Perch , 7#'s at the cleaners, not hogs but good anyway.
Once they started it was up and down and 4 doubles.
I also got out of those white perch that I have been catching near H Can.
I use a spreader, red true turn hooks, minnows on the bottom ~ and a very light bite. Watch your pole tip and when it wiggles pull some lips off~~:D~~
