Wild Wings
We rent our condo at Green Cove resort near wild wings. Was up over the weekend and there were several staying in Green Cove Condos and launching at Wild Wings. They were fishing within about a mile of the launch area. There were several smaller boats and bass boats launching and staying since this makes for a very short trip and if wind is from shore the lake is less rough. However, it was vey muddy on Saturday. They charge to launch at Wild Wings.
Good Luck,
John

info
We rent our condo at Green Cove resort near wild wings. We charge $90.00 per night which includes a 30 foot boat dock right in front of the condo. I was up over the weekend and there were several staying in Green Cove Condos and launching at Wild Wings. Some small boats renting units and going out since it is such a short run this time of year.
You can find info on our rental

oak harbor area
puttin in around the oak harbor area is a good idea, we have our boat in that area and it makes it nice for short runs when the gas prices are 3.68. as far as trollin goes around the reefs, thats not a bad idead either as long as its slow and you dont mind burnin gas.

If we get off the reefs, how deep of water should we troll? Should we troll by the islands south of Put in Bay?

Along the cans off the range is good. The water North of Niagra produces many big fish. My guess would be 30' water. Slow (1.5 or less) reef runners ripsticks and deep divers. Always run at least one high.
You will find good info here and in their archives.

Mike, thanks for the good info. We plan on docking @ wild wings. Can we reach these locations from here? How far to Niagra from here? The cans are right in front of wild wings, is this correct? Awesome sight for previous info.

*yes, the cans are right there out of wild wings. A is the farthest to the west and D is the farthest to the east. The other cans head toward the south. There will be guys that troll these. Much of the time you will hear of guys trolling D to A or vice versus. But, guys will troll the other cans too.
How far to Niagra from here?
*not exactly sure, 6-7 miles, not bad though. Many guys will troll the deep water off Niagra. That area is very popular and many big fish are taken there.

*yes, study the previous info, history has proven to repeat itself, just remember we are a little behind, but it will come fast.
*You will also hear about trolling the area north of Kelly's. This is probably where some of the biggest fish are caught. #'s less, but bigger fish. You would want to launch further east though (like Mazurik's)
