The thing is that i dont understand is why do the walleye bite jigs for so long and then decied to not want them and go for a crawler harnes? This is somthing that has puzzled me ( is it the action) im sure u can catch them in summer on jigs but harness seem to be the ticket.

Fished Tuesday night 5:30 - 8:00. 12 walleye - 10 on purple jigs - no minnow, 2 on gold deep cup hammered harness with bottom bouncer. Fished just northeast of turtle reef. 10 fish better than 22", 2 fish 16" - 17". Also caught a few white bass as well as a few sheephead. Cast up wind, jig until it drifts past the boat, jig vertical until you cannot feel the bottom and then let out line, fish pick it up when you begin jigging again
