How to fish a worm harness
Give me some tips on how to fish a worm harness in western Lake Erie. What colors would you suggest. How do you rig those little devils?

Fishing worm harnesses
Use a bottom bouncer that will keep you in contact with the bottom most of the time. That will vary anywhere from a half ounce to 2 ounces depending on the drift/waves. We run leader off that anywhere from 3 feet to 4 feet most of the time. You can get them up to 72 inches, but rarely do we run them that long.
We use interchangeable blade clevis so we can try different blade colors. All the "standard" colors for walleyes seem to work, depending on the day. Gold blades, chartreuse, pink, firetiger in blade sizes 3 to 5 (Colorado blades) are best in our experience.
That's my .02.

Oh and ...
Don't let out too much line. We run the bouncers where they are out just far enough to contact bottom. Fifty feet of line or so usually does it.

This also depends on if you are trolling them or casting or just using a deadstick to drift them.Casting 18in.Trolling around four ft.with keelsinkers of varying weights.Bottombouncers on a deadstick around three ft.
