Perch Report
Perch fished east of Kellys in 41 foot of water. 125 fish 39 pounds. On Wed in the same spot 3 man limit 24 pounds. Decent fish if you are willing to sort. We were keeping 1 for every 2 we caught both days. I have perched 5 times this year and have caught 164 pounds. And yes not only am I the walleyewacker I turn into the perchwacker in august.

Nobody cares. Post a picture to convince me. That is a 3 fish per pound average, also 11 inch AVERAGE. That doesn't happen this far West especially this time of year. Just more BS. READERS BEWARE. There are plenty of fish near the Kelly's shoal, just not that size. Plenty of 9"ers with a few 10 and 11, and the occasional but rare 12-13. 75 good fish will yield 15-18lbs.

Perch in Michgan waters
Thursday got out around 'E' can, little right as you come out
of Raisin River, in the morning. Couple miles straight out from
power plant about even with Luna Pier water tower (to your right).
Started off slow, kind of choppy, picked up around 11 a.m. when
calmed down; bringing them in steady then. Mixed bag of fish (four lb. smallmouth, couple sheeps, white bass and even gobi)using spreaders and minnows. Some perch of decent size, but "7-"8 seemed to be the rule.
Light hits right off the bottom almost immediately when you drop and set,
so no daydreaming!
Hope this helps, would be nice to hear MORE from guys fishing MI
waters, I know you are out there, saw you Thursday!

I have no reason to doubt you Big Wally. That area has been my best eye area this season. I'm sure perch are there too. 2.5 fish per pound just aren't common @ a 12 inch average.
