August 2009 Wester Lake Erie Fishing Reports

I was further west of Green and the perch were small. Should have moved closer or gone to West Reef saw perch out of their that were huge.

2 guys 14 pounds lots of sorting got couple 11 inchers few 10s and the rest 8-9 inch fish 22 ft of water off wards breaking shinners in half nice day

got 4 guy limit same place got a 13 incher a 12 few 11 some 9 lots 8 inch fish some 7 a few 6 100 fish 19 pounds off wards no minnows for tomorrow bud lite and fresh perch for today maybe a shot of crown royal

2 guys 2 wives and 2 kids 20 ft of water off wards 100 fish 18 pounds kept some small ones due to my 10 year old catching them we had a blast but man was i busy taking fish off and putting minnows on for wife and kids i was busy 50 bucks in gas 20 bucks in bait 5 bucks for ice 40 bucks in snacks but the smile on my kids face priceless swim platform came loose on me so we left early had lots of minnows from a js they were a mix only shinners in town great day been out 7 days in a row what good weather we are having

Fishing the same area as Rscotfish. Same results both Saturday and Sunday. Had 3 11 year old boys and their dads out Sunday and wore the boys out. Had to use AJ's as well for shinners.
