Right now in the Western Basin the hot area has been east of the Camp Perry range / north west of Catawba Point area. As always, this could change. Stop in and ask at a local bait shop, and anyone you may meet at the Lake that is fishing.

I get updates from Hiway Bait in Marblehead every morning. He keeps saying the area EAST of Kellys. His diagram on the map includes a little north east of the island, and also a little southeast. Thats where he is saying the hottest area to catch walleye is now.

Last week we fished the area just east of the F Can north towards Green Island. Lots of walleye in the 16-19? range and tons of sheephead. It kept 3 of us busy. We used Bill Lewis crankbaits as recommended by Capt Juls. They out fished Bandits.
