Planning a trip next Thursday. Any signs of the bugs being goine then

They started hatching last week. Unlikely they will be gone. I?ve seen them worse, so my guess is they will be as bad, or worse this week. Usually takes about 3 weeks to clear out.

[West Basin]

Was out on the Lake Friday between South Bass and Kelleys Islands as well as the North and NE sides of Kelleys. Not as many midges as posted on here the last few days. Still enough to get a good number on the boat, but not enough to bother us much. Several species in the hatch, different sizes. The bottom dwelling insect major spring and summer emergances will continue on and off through July, so get used to them.
