Re: Where's the walleye
Also, how do you plan to fish? (Troll vs cast) What kind/size boat do you have? The weather has stunk since this past Tuesday, that explains the lack of reports.

Re: Where's the walleye
Gonna take a few days for the water to settle, no matter where you go out.

Re: Where's the walleye
I have read some reports that are probably a week old. They were doing well catching a school of fish off Vermillion and Lorain. If trying to fish there would need to go deep enough to find clean water. Around the islands the water is most likely dirtier and will be hard to catch with all this wind and fronts going through.

Re: Where's the walleye
We just got home. We did well in Huron just east of the harbor but also did well straight out of Catawba. Water was dirty but fishing was good. Bandits w/chrome from 15-25 back killed followed by fruit dot from 40-70 and 50/20. During the rain Saturday morning, Catawba was on fire. We boated 14 in 2-1/2 hrs. 4 foot waves, wind, rain and crappy attitudes got us off the water at 14. Probably would have taken another hour to limit (4 people)….
