I'm pretty sure it's the firing range. We caught our limit a couple times there last year.

Thanks Dog, I think the wife and I are going to be able to get out a couple days next week.
SE OF G CAN: 22 FOW,
30 yellow gold, three hours, 9-12, nice breeze, nice swing, and some nasty bugs (they were gone by 10am), spreaders, shiners and some night crawlers to finish the day. SOME sheep head.
these are some nice 9 incher's. not a good day to take the wife (bugs) , these guys are on ice and I will update a gut report once I clean them (no skin per the wife)
3 head boats in the area, percher's, drifters, and trollers.
Nice day on the lake,
be safe

I stayed away from the pack south of green. I fished south of rattlesnake with only a couple boats around me. The big pack was probably about 100. I started at 7:00. Fished until 10:00. Had stuff to do. Got 16 9-11 on crappie rigs with frozen minnows cut mostly, some whole. Could have caught a limit as they were picking up as I needed to go.
Got out Sunday morn, great day, light chop and perch were hungry ! Caught first one within minutes of dropping my line. Steady bite until 11:30 then wind quit. 22-23' of water between Metzger marsh and west sister. Lots of walleye troopers circling around me. No tight packs well spread out NE of water intake. No marks until I hit 22' then plenty of marks. May flies still here, I think they were feeding on more of them. Nice size.
29 more yellow gold , SE of G can 20 fow 9-12, 3 hours
spreaders and no bling, did have 6 throw backs today,
4 sheep head, one short walleye 1/4 inch less then 15
the white perch showed up and finished out my last of the golden shiner mix. used some night crawlers, but the white perch were there to stay
no bugs, light wind, nice swing and many perch boats to my NW,
two head boats were working the walleye and some drifters, and only a few trollers today.
todays perch are on ice to clean them in the morning.Attachment 8881
here is the yellow gold I cleaned this morning , from my July 7th report.
I found that they were eating small young fish. the females have some 1 inch egg sacks forming, they are really well fed from the looks of it.
Back soon,

SOME VIEWS OF THE GUT PILE AND A GUT WORM TRYING TO GET OUT WHEN THEY SENSE ITS HOST IS DEAD OR DIYING.
From the gut pile there are some gobies, may fly, and some other young fish. (not sure type) Most of the time when I clean you do not get a good look at most of the contents due to the fact they have been broken down to a point you don't recognize what they could be. I have seen some of the spiney fleas, but not that many. These fish very healthy and they are eating good!
