First time jigging

Went out of fenwick marina this morning used purple and John Deere green and got totally skunked I donÂ’t know what we were doing wrong but we need to get it figured out any anise would be appreciated

If you have had success jigging in the past, you might want to try a few different colors. I’ve been a hard head at times and gone through the same thing while others were having success. This year we had a lot of success early with purple or black of any variation but recently we couldn’t get a sniff on the dark colors. I went with my son and his buddy and he was killing them with a white and purple jig (more white than purple) and I couldn’t get anything. I switched and they seemed to like that a lot. Yesterday and today my wife and I limited in about 2 1/2 hours with the same jig in 5/8 ounce. I would assume you are using jigs with a stinger hook? If not, get some as they will change your success rate.

I will definitely get a few different colors and yes I am using stinger thank you
