I rarely use minnows on jigs. As stated by Bob they fall off. I prefer to work jigs faster & get the reactionary bite. I use 3/4 to 1 oz most of the time to stay in contact with the bottom. As the weather warms I will use worms on jigs & work a little slower. Always use a stinger as 90% come on the stinger. I also use a spray or drip of Night crawler juice on jigs as well.
