Place to stay in April
We are looking for a clean place to stay mid April that won’t break the bank. Boat parking a must

We have had really good luck using air bnbs. A 3 boat crew staying just west of port Clinton for about $30/day each. Look around their site.

For nothing fancy but clean and basic and if you're considering a hotel, I like the Stay Inn in Port Clinton. Lots of parking and close to food, gas, Catawba and Mizurik's launches. Hotels.com.

Re: Place to stay in April
A lot of my customers stay at the "White Caps Motel". It's not fancy, but it's clean, has plenty of room for boats, and no one has complained to me about it.
They have motel rooms, cabins, mobile homes and RVs to choose from.
Welcome to The White Caps Motel & RV Park 419-734-3816
It's located on Lake Shore Dr, just west of downtown Port Clinton. They are one of the few places that has a fish cleaning shack on the premises, too. Or, if you want to have them cleaned by a business, Port Clinton Fish Co is only a couple of miles way, on Madison Street, in downtown PC.
I'm not sure when they turn the water on at the new fish cleaning facility at Mazurik's boat ramp, but by mid April, they might have it turned on by then.
The other plus, is that there is a boat launch (Portage River Boat Access) right next door, but is about a 15-20 minute no wake out to the lake....and, you'll need a good map chip that shows the channel going out, because it's not a straight line. It gets pretty shallow outside of the channel.Captain Julia "Juls" Davis

Capt. Juls,
Thanks again for being helpful and providing great info. I've been out there staying for years and never checked the white caps. They have rooms with 3 beds which a huge convenience and cost savings for someone with a group of 3. Just checked their website and their rates and it looks great!
