5/28 Drifter report
Sorry I'm a day late. Coming out of Channel Grove, we fished Sunday, drifting with the NE wind and casting harnesses. Found a spot with a decently active pod, very good size fish, down on the bottom, SW of Middle Island. 34-36 FOW was the magic depth.
A slow but reliable bite. 2 of us limited out before noon and headed to West Bay on Kelley's for lunch and beer(s) that tasted particularly good with a cooler full.
Same day a buddy went to Canadian waters a few miles North of Middle Island after receiving a "hot bite" tip and was done in an hour. He also drifts and casts harnesses. Gorgeous weekend.Last edited by HeyNow; 05-30-2023 at 08:00 AM. Reason: Typos

Re: 5/28 Drifter report
Glad you got them. We got a late start on Sunday and went casting all around American Eagle. I think all the boats around there this weekend scattered all the fish that were there. We could never find a decent pod to work. We'd mark a few fish and then nothing for a while, and then one or two more. We moved over to Starve and did some scouting and marked nothing. We ended the day with one sheep.
