Saturday was a great day to be on the lake. Started fishing at 9:00 and had only 2 in the box by 11:00. Had several hookups but we would lose them on the way to the boat. Moved several times. Finally found them in 7 feet of water out in front of the State Park. They were on fire. Between 12:00 and 1:00 boated 17 more fish. All very large males. Largest was 26" with an average of 23". Only 1 fish under 20". Purple hair jig without a minnow. Also landed one on a purple worm harness.

So I guess to answer your question, They will bite when they want to if you can find them.
