We got our butt kicked today. By the water and the fish lol. 1 measly walleye. Have me wondering to head to monroe michigan in the morning or sticking it out here 1 more day. Trolled in front of castle and out front of cedar point and neither produced for us even though we were marking fish. Hope you all are doing better than us lol

I was thinking of heading to Huron in the morning but maybe not with that report. Does anyone know if there is stained water between Monroe and the islands? Last I could see it looked fairly muddy.

After yesterday was discouraging we decided to drive over to Detroit river and jig some. It paid off. We got our 3 man limit of good eaters 16 to 20 inchers in about 4 hours. Heard the lake was better overall today but we still had fun jigging up some fish. Caught them mid river by Wyandotte with just jig and minnow and stinger hook. No plastics. Won't be back up until later in april. Best of luck everyone!

Awesome! Thanks for the report. If we weren't expecting gale force winds tomorrow, I would be out there with 500,000 of my closest friends....

Wow, another weekend (at least Saturday) ruined by high winds. Mess similar to last weekend - high winds and changes in direction. Dies down early Sunday morning and by sunrise light for the rest of the daylight day. Some might try it then, but it will be cold. Winds pick right back up again on Monday morning then a little break Monday afternoon through Tuesday but back up again Wed-Thur. At least right now the winds for next weekend are forecast to be light.

It will take awhile for this muddy mess to settle down. Air temps warm up overall next week. The walleye are out there, we all know they are, just waiting for the right conditions to move back near and onto the various spawning grounds. We have to be patient, even though it's hard. April is here so no matter the year the walleye season is soon to start. But again, from the looks of the satellite it will be at least a week, maybe longer, before the Lake settles down enough to provide good fishing for everyone.

    March 30.
