Went out of the Portage river. Went out to the northeast to start cause wanted to try something away from where everybody else. Marked some fish holding tight to bottom and got a couple of hits but didnt land any. Went northwest of portage river where the head boats and other boats were. Same thing couple of hits seen a couple of nets dig. Was trying all hair jigs tipped. Was pissed off I left all my blade baits in my ice fishing box. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. At least I went in and caught some bass. If any of ya seen me I was in the 21' Marroon and white skeeter. Jim

Janes2008, My luck this weekend, wasn't very good. Both friday & saturday were too windy. ( only caught one dink friday) So today the wind layed, and I thought it would be perfect FINALLY!!! We started our first drift,out in front of Turtle Creek, and watched the boat beside of us catch 7 fish !! WE then moved over farther west, thinking our luck would change,but it didn't. In about a half hour, a boat sit down close to us, and caught 4 more!!! We decided we had enough humiliation for one weekend and headed in at 10 oclock!!! BETTER LUCK NEXT WEEK!!! T.C.

Jamess I feel your pain .We went saterday and I didn't catch a thing all day 7:30 to 2:30. My friend caught 2 so it wasn't a complete wash. It really stinks when you get back to the dock and everyone is cleaning stacks of eyes and you know you didn't come even close. It does kind of piss you off but it is one of the most awsome places on Gods great earth. I hate it but I know I'll be back. Good luck next time.
