Fished Friday Crew of 2, Started South of F can, hung around here for about a half hour and caught 1 keeper, Helix sonar showed a lot of interference from 5'- to the bottom which I'm assuming were Mayfly or Muffle heads, not a good sign for fishing in this area for the next few weeks. So decided to try fishing South of the line between the islands and set up East of Middle Bass about a mile around 8:30. Trolled East to the edge of the mass of boats and picked up 1 keeper. Not wanting to play bumper boats, trolled back to a point North and West of Lucys point. Had 3 keepers at this point around 11 AM. Headed back SE, picked up 2 quickly so marked that spot and figure 8ed and looped this area and finished our 2 tickets around 1PM. Ran 5 #1 Dipsy's with spoons and a #0/0 dipsey back 110' with a spoon took 1 keeper, Our best Dipsy settings were 3.5/80' 2/56-60' and .5/44'. Best speed was 2.4-2.6 mph. Had at least 20 shorts, Pink spoons were hot. Most keeper's were 16 -18" with 3- 20"+. Made it back to Port Clinton and was dodging all sorts of large sticks and logs going up river. Fueled up, and I believe the price per Gallon was $6.42? Ouch! Fuel Bill of $105 Ouch, Ouch!! A neighbor had over heated at Brands so towed him home upriver, dodging more logs and such, some were the length of telephone poles. He was able to fire it back up past the Jackknife bridge so did not have to tow him into the marina luckily.

A beautiful day on our lake!
