We switched to Sam's pro releases a few few years ago and will never look back. Sam's pro release on the front and OR16 with a pin in the rear. We run them with 30lb power pro and an 8' floro leader. A quick snap of the wrist and they release and swing right to the back of the boat. No issues with slipping even in 4' waves. We do tighten the release some in really rough waters to eliminate false releases.
